Hello, my name is Cayden Reynolds-Ford and I am a videographer and photographer based out of Alexandria, Louisiana. Born and raised here in Alexandria, all I ever knew was sports and, specifically soccer. From a young child, I had dreams, of playing professional ball. What young child doesn’t want that? Sports granted me the only identity I ever knew. It was something about a ball that took me into a different realm of life. Growing up in a single-parent household, in combination with sports taught me a couple of core values which are appreciation of the little things, combined with grit. I’d like to say throughout my life I have been driven to work hard, and help others. This drive of mine led me to kick a football later in my high school career which I had a raw talent for. Who knew my lifetime of soccer would have opened up an opportunity to play a different sport entirely? A year and a half in I had an opportunity to continue my career as a kicker for Delta State in Cleveland, Mississippi in 2019. This was the 3rd best thing that has ever happened to me or anyone in my family for that fact, considering no one in my immediate family has ever graduated. Things were going well but suddenly took a turn for the worst when I noticed I was always tired and losing weight while in mid-season at Delta State. I went to the hospital before a home football game and found out my sugar was over 500 mg\l. I was diagnosed with type one diabetes. This made life very complex in that season of life. The sports scene became hard on my body especially not having ever dealt with blood sugar, insulin, and exhaustion like that before. I eventually let my scholarship go after many long nights of doubt. I was defeated. I started dabbling in things I shouldn’t have been. Drugs, alcohol, women, you name it and that is what was going on. I got so low that I began to not care about my health, and actually almost died a couple of times from alcohol consumption. I was low, so low that I didn’t know what to do with my life. During this time I was back here in Alexandria taking online school at LSUA. Still in these habits, the best thing that has ever happened to me showed up unexpectedly, and no it wasn’t the camera. Jesus Christ came into my life and showed me his love, mercy, and grace in multitudes I couldn’t have imagined. I gave my life to Christ and was baptized in May of 2021. The Lord began opening doors for me. I joined the media team at LSUA and met my now-wife, which is the 2nd best thing that has happened to me. While at LSUA I had only been videoing for 5 months, and had gained an internship opportunity with the best company in the world RoyOMartin the following summer of 2022. I began my internship and before that summer was up I received a full-time job opportunity with RoyOMartin as a multi-media specialist where I compose commercial-type videos of diverse types. I have grown so much in this short time here at RoyOMartin, but I can say the one thing that I appreciate most is having learned what a true collaboration process is. I just graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations fall of 2023 from LSUA after a long time coming. I hope to continue my career with RoyOMartin while building up my brand further. I appreciate you considering CMP. I know we together can make any dream, vision, or idea to a reality.
